Golf Club of Lebanon

"The Golf Club of Lebanon"; (GCL) was established in 1923, according to the records of the Royal and
Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, known as the “Home of Golf”. It is the last remaining golf club today
from the four golf clubs that were present in Lebanon.
GCL is a private sporting and recreational club for members and their guests, with a reputation for
providing first class facilities, a relaxing atmosphere, and impeccable service.
Located adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea, at a short distance from Rafic Hariri International Airport,
the GCL is one of the largest green areas in Beirut and one of the most beautiful areas in Lebanon, with
many trees, plant species and greenery in its grounds, where you can escape the congestion and
bustling of the city to enjoy, alone or with family and friends, a relaxing day full of activities.
Situated on a magnificent sun-bathed area of 400,000 square meters, the GCL has a stunning 18 holes
golf course, rolling across perfectly manicured fairways. These naturally sculpted fairways, as well as
tricky greens, combine to make the golf course one of the best and truest tests of golf anywhere in the
region. Significant investment has been made to improve the course over the last few years.
The GCL also prides itself on offering to its members a modern the largest tennis complex, with 7 courts
(5 clay and 2 hard), a championship size swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym, mini-football field, squash
court, and an entertaining playground nestled underneath a pine trees forest.
Our restaurant at the Salim A. Salaam pavilion offers a great mix of Arabic and International cuisine. The
comfortable elegance of the furnishings and friendly staff allows one to feel relaxed and enjoy a
memorable dining experience.
At GCL you'll have a complete experience and your membership allows you a full access to all of the
above-mentioned facilities, activities and more. Enjoy!
